Two weeks ago we came in without a scheduled appointment and were taken in to work on a twisted ankle I got earlier that morning-which swelled up to the size of a Mango. I couldn’t put any weight on it when I walked/hobbled in. I was walking almost perfectly normal after 30 minutes of them just massaging the pressure points of my ankle. I separated my shoulder during a lacrosse game. My AC joint had expanded tear 3 tendons and stretched a third. After my injury I went to 2 doctors, 2 shoulder specialists and 2 physical Therapists. Over the past 3 months I have suffered from severe chronic pain in my left shoulder. I work in the dental field and was having to miss work due to this injury. My name is Frank and I am 46 years old. My back problems started at age 14 when I broke my back while wrestling in high school. I suffered from intermittent pain up to December 2006 when while bending over to pick up my 6 month old foster daughter I experienced a sharp pain and lost function of my legs. I was diagnosed with 4 discs herniated and degenerative disc disease. Over the next 22 months I received spinal injections, had nerves burned, and was put on large doses of pain medications. In November 2008 a spinal stimulator was implanted. For one year it gave me some relief but I still had to take the pain relievers. Finally I was referred to Dr. Race.
